Firstly, his success is questionable...
- How many bankruptcies has he had?
- How many lawsuits?
- How much money did he get from his father to start?
But more flawed in this "reasoning" is a misconception that the skill set of a privileged, unethical, real estate developer would aid in success as president.
Skills of great presidents -- or any successful elected official -- is in how they work with others. They have excellent communication skill to bring consensus among a wide set of people. Donald J. Trump's simple, bombastic, hate-filled speak works on a good sized segment of the American public, but will not rally our legislators or negotiate with foreign leaders.
As a business leader, his position has been as a dictator. Employees are required to follow his orders with no questions asks. If not, they hear "you're fired!" Donald won't have this power to leverage with congress or abroad. Only with his cabinet, which he will most likely fill with brown-nosing yes-men only to compound the problem.
Also extremely vital for success in government is to recognize excellence in people that he surrounds himself with. From appointing the most qualified individuals to cabinet positions, but especially in selecting outstanding advisers and then LISTENING to those advisers. Trump's own campaign staff -- experts in their field -- have had to resort to tricks as one would get a toddler to eat his vegetables to get him to do what they need.
How can anything good come from this?
